1. Who can see the listings?
All active dues-paying members and affiliates who are logged into AbolitionistSanctuary.org or the mobile app can view Member News and the classified ads.
2. How can I publish a Member News article or list a classified ad?
Log into AbolitionistSanctuary.org. From the main menu, visit Connect > Member News > Share News. Then choose a category, list yourself as the owner, choose a start and end date, complete the fields, and attach a document if necessary.
3. What categories should I use?
The following top-level and sub-level categories are designed to help you classify your listing in the following areas.
I. ABOLITION NEWS, LAWS, RESEARCH
- Courts: Share updates about abolitionist legal developments in the courts.
- Journalism: Share quality journalism about the abolitionist movement and community initiatives.
- Leadership: Share information about abolitionists who are leading the cause.
- Legislation: Provide updates about legislative initiatives;
- Policies: Post information about policy initiatives by the executive branch at the state and national levels of government, or policies used by businesses and community organizations.
- Research: Share reports, articles, and other research about the abolitionist movement.
II. ACADEMIC OPPORTUNITIES
- Degree Programs: Recruit students to apply for your education institution.
- Fellowships: Recruit a graduate or post-doctoral researcher to serve your university or organization.
- Internships: Recruit applicants to serve as your next intern for early-career students to gain professional experience.
- Scholarships: Recruit students to apply for your scholarship program and help advance their education and careers.
III. AWARDS
- Announcing Award Recipients: Announce the winners of an award, honor, or prize.
- Calls for Award Nominees: Announce nominations and build a strong slate of contenders for your next award.

- Products: Advertise your Abolitionist product, such as teaching and learning resources, software, or legal research tools.
- Services: Advertise your Abolitionist professional services, such as legal counsel, legal research, copyediting, human resource recruitment, and financial advisement.

- Job Postings: Recruit applicants for full- and part-time paid positions in your organization.
VIII. PUBLISHING OPPORTUNITIES
- Calls for Authors: Invite scholars and practitioners to write articles, chapters, and books.

5. How long will it take to publish my listing?
It will take two business days to process the listings in most cases, but please allow five business days for final approval.
6. Do you deny some listings?
In some cases, yes. Abolitionist Sanctuary, as owners of this private social network, retains the right to publish listings that align with its mission, community standards, and policies or if there is a perceived or real conflict of interest. We may delay publishing some listings to have time to seek additional information, such as verifying sources and confirming the authenticity of the content.
